This module looks at why relationships are key both to mental health and to successful and productive workplaces.

We’ll discuss the core building blocks of good relationships: trust, respect, empathy, genuine concern for each other, appreciation of diversity, openness, and effective communication. We’ll think about what makes each of these possible. We’ll also look at what sometimes makes these things difficult, and possible ways forward when this happens.

We’ll look at why good relationships are important at work (for example, how they enable creativity and productivity) and how we can nurture our own working relationships. Finally, we’ll think through some challenges to good relationships and ways of overcoming them.
