There are many different types of talking therapy. Counsellors may use one type, or combine several types. Different therapies work well for different people. There’s no ‘one size fits all’ approach.

At your initial assessment, we will recommend what type of therapy could work well for you. We’ll base that on talking to you about your life and goals.

You don’t need to know anything about different talking therapies before the assessment. However, you might find it helpful to have some information on what’s available. That’s what this page is for.
