It was fantastic to hear our Head of Training & Delivery, Dr Sian Edwards talking with Kris Hall from The Burnt Chef Project about mental health and wellbeing and the Platfform Wellbeing approach, including the mental health pressures of high-performance workplaces such as sports and hospitality.
She talks about the huge benefits of bringing trust, transparency and an organisational culture that provides the safety to try new things, fail and go again. Out of this compassionate leadership is born:
- Improved staff wellbeing
- Reduced staff turnover
- Improved productivity through effective collaboration
- Improved communication
But the caveat to all this says Sian Edwards is that organisational change does not happen overnight – it’s hard and it takes time but as long as leaders, managers and employees move at the “speed of trust” then the ROI can be huge for everyone
