Jenny started out in the world of sport, and her Sports Degree led her to work in London and the USA. After becoming a full time Mum, she worked as a fitness instructor with the GP referral scheme, and this led her to train as an Occupational Therapist. She then worked in mental health services for some years in South Wales and Bristol focusing on children, families and early years.

She then moved to the 3rd sector working for Mind, leading their national perinatal programme of work in Wales and then at the Mental Health Foundation as their Associate Director collaboratively creating their Welsh portfolio of work. She also worked with Public Health Wales leading the Whole School Approach to Emotional and Mental Wellbeing and the CAMHS In-Reach work in Wales. In addition, during her years in the 3rd sector, she completed her PhD exploring how people with lived experience become leaders within their own communities.

In addition to her part time role with Platfform, Jenny is a PhD university supervisor, a free-lance Research Associate, a charity Trustee and is the Director of Momentwm Cymru, which supports little organisations to get stronger. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming competitively, read, be outdoors and spend time with her husband, grown sons and their families.
