My name is Darrel. My work encourages people to talk, without judgement. My aim is to create a safe place where you feel able to raise any issues that you want to.
In our sessions, we will work together on the challenges you are experiencing. I will support you to explore your own issues, beliefs, emotions, behaviour and how you see the world. This helps you to become more self-aware, manage your emotions and be more independent.
I often work with people having difficulties with self-esteem, anxiety, low mood, self-criticism, perfectionism, understanding of their sexuality, and addictions. I am a fluent Welsh speaker and am comfortable holding counselling sessions in Welsh.
I was recently awarded a Master’s degree in Psychotherapeutic Practice (Distinction). I am also accredited by the National Counselling Society, MNCS (Accred).
In my spare time, I enjoy wandering on beaches and through forests with our Jack Russell terrier, listening to music (from the Stranglers to Sibelius), exercising and reading poetry.
